No, MittGrips are a separate sleeve designed to be worn over mittens or gloves.

MittGrips have unique advantages over typical mitts, even the long ones.

To start, one pair of MittGrips will work with all the mittens your child might have. Their hydrophobic polyester-spandex construction is thin, supple and stretchy. The elastic properties of the material play the crucial role of latching directly onto the arm, under the coat's sleeve. This latching effect prevents little hands from pulling mitts off, keeping their fit optimal and comfy while reversing the typical cuff overlap which keeps snow from getting in. The thin and supple nature of the fabric is also essential in maximizing a child's play time. It gives their tiny wrists full range of motion, which longer mitts tend to impair.

These are some of the key features we built into MittGrips when we designed them. We tried all shapes and sizes with our daughter, and she ended up pulling even the long ones off due to discomfort and restricted movement.

MittGrips slide over mittens and gloves (long sleeve shirts work best) and lock in place under jacket sleeves. This secures mittens in place keeping snow out and making it difficult for little hands to remove. They are also effective when worn outside the jacket sleeve. Since MittGrips are made of a stretchy  polyester spandex blend, they work with all styles of mittens and gloves and can be worn under or over jacket sleeves.

MittGrips are available in three sizes, small for a typical 1 to 2 year old, medium for a 2 to 4 year old and large for a 4 to 6 year old.

If needed, with a little of your effort, MittGrips can be removed without taking off the jacket. To get them back on, simply slide over the jacket sleeve to keep mittens and gloves in place!

Hand wash your MittGrips in cold water and lay flat to dry.
